Go ahead. You're a customer. Surely your complaints will make them reverse their decision immediately, right? Try visiting the real world first... being a customer does not make you King.
When my phone company change it’s rate, I complained and they give me more free features.
When my cable company changed what channels it provides…well, it doesn’t happen to me.
When my car insurance is increased, I complained, and they changed it back the way it was.
Am I living in a real world? Sure dam I am, because as today’s poll, 514 players are not happy about the patch. And what does the poll tell you? Majority of players of GW are not happy about the patch. And that is the REAL WORLD.
BTW, you do not need to be a king to have the rights of a customer, and that is another fact from the real world. Face it.

Sorry but i have to agree, FOW absoloutly sucks for drops & UW too (in teams)

Always were, but im not really a trader

5) It seems like SF is the only place u can make some cash while in a team.. and after a month it kinda gets boring since u have done all missions 2-30 times.
actually a good point, green farming is a good money spinner for the average team player (not solo farmer), if i want to make money i go solo.

I read Gaile's explanation behind the changes. I am not sure I really believe that is the reason for the change. Many of their changes have revolved around anti-farming.

I like the PvP aspect to this game, unfortunately, I've never been able to hook up with a guild that actually did PvP.

I just hope they stop chasing the farmers and work on enhancing game play for everyone. I wonder when the Nerfing will stop? If they keep on Nerfing, then it will be the powergamers who hold the edge.

Remember ANet, the common player can't get the $$ do buy the weapons to level the playing surface for PvP when getting $$ is hard. Also, becareful of your Nerfing causing the game to be full of have-nots with only a few haves.

Default I don't like this update at all, and am not willing to compromise.

I know that I'm compromizing because I adjusted some of my characters but what can I do, I do not want to stop playing this game.
My hope is that they leave it alone now.
I do not care about the mosters running away in a normal fight the things I was pissed about is farming.
Its hard to get money in this game. I'm just glad that I've been playing since it came out and feel sorry for new people starting up.

I think you have 4 kind of groups

Farmers and elm nukers who hate the patch
People that do not farm and love it because they want a chanllenge.
New people that still know nothing about the game
Then people that are in betweeen these groups

getting rid of the botters will enhance it for everybody.

botters are indeed what cause the economy to inflate/deflate wildly, but if you think about it this update affects them the most of anyone; augury is no longer full of mo/w's and w/mo's running out to farm, because they suck at it now. other plus-sides of the update are economical - have you looked at monk rune prices lately? within maybe a week, monks who actually play a monk properly will be able to afford runes. i've noticed rare drop prices on the rise too...sure farming has become more challenging, but perhaps ANET will finally get you to use it's chest keys more often?

anyways, anet had the right idea behind the update, they were just sloppy in some areas *cough aggro chasing range*

Can anyone actually confirm this patch can really stop people using BOTS to farm? and how? Because I heard something quite different otherwise. Thx

I read a wee thingie on web (may be out of date, or plain wrong) which said that GW had 21% of the market and shipped 200,000 copies weekly (although i suspect this may be $$ rather than game units).

Thats a lot of upfront cash. Why would they care if a few thousand people stop playng. Apparently 17,600,000 other players out there.

Anyway. I changed 2 skills and can still farm. As did most of the people in my guild. So the update failed.

I would like to see this update reversed, not because it makes the game more difficult, not because it stops farming, but because half my guild, and 75% of my friends list have left for World of Warcraft (so far i have resisted the temptation, but it DOES loom)

All the fun has gone out of the game for us. We enjoyed standing about town swapping stories of stupid monsters. We enjoyed Benny Hill scenes of 7 or 8 monsters chasing a character (thank heaven monsters cant get suspenders), with one person picking them off.

But all that is gone.

I just wish GW would sort the real problems with the game rather than the ones they imagine are there. I mean, come on, its cheaper to buy rare materials from the trader than it is to craft.

I cant see why, and challenge ANY Guild War official to explain, why they are so against farming. Who does it harm? Why should you care if your ingame gold is sold ex-game. It gets your profile raised in the media and on the web. GOOD THING. Why should you care if some professional, loaded with cash but strapped for time, wants to buy 100k for a fiver. Big Deal. Who does it hurt.

As far as I can see, and i have been playing this game for over 3 months now, you are systematically trying to stop players from doing anything except missions and quests. And even then, you have made it so that you have to party with people and not hench. Well sorry, i work a 14 hour day and sometimes i am just too grumpy to listen to a 12 year old ask me if i like oasis. Just want 30 easy mins of killing things. As for making it more challenging, why? If you want a challenge, create a Player vs Player...thing...arena...oh, you already have...

People are saying ArenaNet dont care about our opinions and will keep this update. I say we dont care about ArenaNets opinion, farming will continue.

By the way, I dont know one person who hasnt cancelled Chapter 2 (and i can almost say i dont know 1 person in game either)

Last word. This update was a masterpiece of marketing by World of Warcraft. They are making a mint out of it...

Haha, if I had a nickel for all the stories of heard of people quitting WoW due to boredom, I could buy 3 more copies of GW.

Your propoganda is ineffective.

Do you actually know how BOTS works in GW? If you know, please tell me how the patch makes the BOTS harder for farming. Many thanks.

you said it yourself "it made it harder for bots". didnt stop them. doesnt stop humans either. and bear in mind, its only a handful of peopel who hardcore farm.

If they want to tackle the selling of money etc out of game, why not encourage people to report people offering in game money. These might be bots, but at least the account can be deleted. And if these people have to purchase enough new accounts, they will stop.

Anyway, is useless talking about it cos ArenaNet wont take a blind bit of notice.

All I am waiting for is the next update/patch. if it nerfs the game rather than addressing some of the issues people have re guild storage, the economy, pre sear bags/storage etc, I will stop playing it. Plenty of other games out there (and on my shelf) to play. X3...UFO : Aftershock...

as opposed to leaving the door open with a wagon inside and a note saying help yourself.

i am pve only farm a bit and got rid of firestorm and searing heat and changed my farming a bit and no big deal.

and wait until the MAJOR update where the 6-8 skeleton rangers with poison arrows follow you around the corner of a building instead of trying to shoot through the wall while you laugh at their stupidity (you and i used to firestorm them while we laughed)

the yells when they stop shooting walls and start shooting you will make this look like a tempest in a teapot

dont think i will be around for it
just ordered x3 and UFO : Aftershock off play.com

And as for the geezers comment re leaving WoW due to boredom, never tried it. It got a pish review. All i am saying is what my guild and friends told me before leaving. Is propoganda, is just a statement that people are making a choice. But ArenaNet arent taking any notice. Thats the trouble when you have a subs free game. No customer clout.

before that update that nerfed aoe, beasts that chased you round corners would have been fine, cos i had damn good people to back me up. Now, it all noobs saying "add me to friends"

I am all for the patch to Aoe anyway. Lets look at it this way if you were surrounded by fire wouldnt you try to get out of the way. And yes it sucks but makes it more real in my eyes. And as a side note. now AOE spells will make the crowd run when you boxed in. So GOOD JOB ANet. I like it.

After an initial screw-up the patch is working and yes the entertainment (and real quick money) has been taken away. Good.

This morning I found that I could make good money BUT would have to think and hunt in order to be effective.

Maybe the inevitable "clever" players who whine about farming are simply "spoilt babies".

Regarding posts here that allude to it being reasonable for anyone to run when a meteor storms hits them I say: "Congrats at least there are a few (actually the poll shows more than a few) of us that enjoy some sense of intelligent interaction between player and enemy"
